At 9 a.m., Oct. 15, 2020, the City will officially “Flip the Switch” on the single largest solar project to date for the City, pushing the City past its goal of 1 megawatt of in-stalled solar by 2020. This project marks a milestone and will help the City achieve major carbon emission reduction and reduced energy costs for years to come. In the City’s hardest working building, the press conference will include hearing from the Mayor and City staff. The Mayor will also share more about the expansion of the GreenPower program, recently released in her 2021 Capital budget and more.
