Description
The City of Madison officially “Flips the Switch” on another major solar project, this time, on the roof of the Madison Municipal Building, a local City of Madison Historic Landmark and National Register of Historic places building. This project is the 29th solar install on a city facility site or building, moving the city to over 770kW of installed solar PV. This is the last installation before the City reaches it’s 1 Megawatt goal. This project was designed by City Engineering staff and installed by the City Engineering GreenPower program trainees. It also brings the city one step closer to our 2030 goal of running 100% of city operations on renewable energy.
